Research and Planning- Finished Double page spread

This is the final draft of my music magazines double page spread, it has come a long way from the last draft, it now looks a lot neater, cover lines are in line with each other, cleaner fonts and font sizes and the colour scheme looks much better than the previous post, I used the inspiration from the magazine featufing Wiz Khalifa to improve the double page spread and make it look a lot more professional.

This is my finished version of my contents page and is constructed by my audience feedback, research into rap magazines and conventions and comparing it to a real professional magazine example (below), also looking at my previous contents page post I took into account all of the criticisms and improved it a lot since the second drafted contents page.

Research and Planning- Second Drafted contents page

This is the second draft of my contents page, It needs improving as it looks very amateur,  in comparison to the image below it the problems with it are:
- 50 pages is clearly not enough for a magazine
- The pages are more spaced out i.e. 50,54,60,64 rather than 3,4,5,6,
- The background could do with a change to white instead of the blue colour
- There is not enough text in comparison to the professional made magazine
- The layout is scruffy on the draft compared to the neat layout of the other magazine
- The images look like they have been squeezed together just for the purpose of getting two images in and would look better with only one featuring on the contents page
- Lacks detail in text and only has artists names
- Draft is out of proportion looks like no guides were used to make it neater
- Needs to consider audience feedbaxk

Research and Planning- First draft Double page spread

This is the first draft of my double page spread, I feel it doesnt fit the conventions of a rap magazine double page spread as usually they are white and look much different from this draft, there is an example of a double page spread below that I am going to follow to get a more professional looking rap magazine.

Research and planning- First draft of Contents page for music magazine

This was the first draft of my contents page, I have now improved it as I think this is too basic and could add another picture and shorten text to fit the genre of the magazine. Also the contents of the magazine are too small for a magazine and no magazine would be 12 pages long.

Research and Planning- What inspired my front cover

My finalised magazine front cover gained inspiration from these two magazine covers, as you can see the XXL logo is very similar to my magazines logo and the background colour of vibe has been integrated into my magazine front cover.
